For our collaborative project Thomas Baker and I took a trip to Monroe to investigate its local history and read more into the life of Robert Williams. The trip was inspired by Dr. Wills unit where we learned about Robert Williams and the violent protests that occurred to gain integration of the local country club pool in Monroe. Being both from the area, Thomas and I were intrigued to do more research into Monroe and learn more about Robert Williams through the Monroe library’s local archives. It was an extremely fun journey and make sure to watch the video that documented our trip!

Also, make sure to check out my piece “Exploring Revolution Around Me” for a little more information about what Thomas and I did!
